Don’t Hoard Critical Medications

Posted by

During times of great turmoil, like the one we are in now due to the Coronavirus, bad information can sometimes take on a false legitimacy. This is especially true when the bogus input comes from an authority figure. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in just such a mess.

A President Who Spreads Rumors

The Only Thing We Have To Fear?

President Trump has been spreading the unfounded claim that two drugs that do have actual medical applications can treat the Coronavirus. In particular, the president has touted the combination of hydrodroxychloroquine and azithromycin as a way to address Coronavirus infections.

Trump’s Statements Were Reckless

What President Trump is saying about these two medications is unproven at very best. It’s that simple. Worse still, it appears that he has pressured the FDA to allow the use of these two drugs even though there is no real evidence that they will make the sick better or prevent a single Coronavirus infection.

Real Lies, Real Harm

If President Trump’s misrepresentations were not having any effects, that would be one thing. The problem is that people who do not need these two medications are hoarding them. This results in a shortage of drugs for the people who do need them. Americans who face such debilitating diseases as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus cannot get these two pharmaceuticals. This means they are suffering needlessly while the worried well stockpile these drugs.

False In One, False In All

Until we defeat this virus, we are all united in the fight. Do your part to assist your fellow citizens who need drugs for legitimate reasons. Just because we have a President who spreads rumors does not excuse the rest of us from doing our best for the common good.

About The Author

Since 1992, I have been helping the people of Southern Arizona get the benefits they are due. Before devoting all my efforts to assisting people with Social Security disability claims, I also handled such complex lawsuits as medical malpractice and products liability. I brought to my Social Security cases all the skills and attention to detail that I developed in the courtroom. I approach each Social Security disability case as if it were a million-dollar lawsuit. For the people trying to get Social Security benefits, their claim is every bit as important. Because I have personally handled so many Social Security cases, I have refined the skills I need to win your case for you. I have helped people win cases for every kind of ailment from arthritis to valley fever. At present, I am focused on helping those persons with neurological and orthopedic disorders. Because claims for people over age fifty bring additional complications, I particularly seek out those cases to work on. I regularly write about back and spine conditions on my blog. I actively seek out the latest information about orthopedic and neurological disorders to ensure I can represent my clients as effectively as possible. Because of my current focus, I regret that I am not able to take any cases for mental disorders. If you are over age fifty and suffer from any orthopedic or neurological disorder, please contact me at once.
