I read a very interesting article about the long-standing GOP opposition to Social Security. It was notable to see how Republicans tried to prevent Social Security from existing and having been doing their best to undermine it ever since. The GOP has never even bothered to update their rhetoric on the topic. It will interest you to learn that Republicans have been telling us that Social Security is going broke pretty much since the time FDR enacted it. In 1935. Funny, it seems like something that has been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy for eight decades would have failed somewhere along the line. Unless, of course, all the talk of BK is more like BS.
